Animal photographer Michael Fishbach comes across a humpback whale in the Sea of Cortez and frees it from a fishing net. Wait for the ending, it’s stunning.
Three notable things about this video:
- Fishbach tells the story like an old man in a rocking chair would tell his grandchildren: slow pace, deep voice, well-placed words. Yet there is video making the story a lot more powerful than just words. In a world where cameras are ubiquitous, this might be how we tell stories to our children and grandchildren.
- The graphic design (titles etc.) is awful, but it simply doesn’t matter. Because the story is great.
- As one Youtube commenter notes: Cool speedo.
